5 months!!

Ryan is 5 months!!

I cannot believe he is:

 - getting his frist two bottom teeth

 - rolling over from tummy to back (almost from back to tummy)

 - holding & grasping rattles

 - smiling, giggling, razing and belly laughing

 - eating cereal from a spoon like a champ

Angry Birds Makes a Happy Boy

What do angry birds, bounce houses, giant slides and friends put together make?  A VERY HAPPY 4 YEAR OLD BOY!!! 
Of course, in good ole Murphy's Law fashion - our camera began malfunctioning a few days before the party and had to be taken to be repaired.  Thanks Grannie Annie for letting me use your camera, however, I wasn't able to get many clear pictures (user error I'm sure).  

Will celebrated his 4th birthday yesterday at Jump N Land with his buddies and boy did they have fun!!!  Everyone played until they were exhausted and had a terrific time. 

The Angry Birds theme was all Will's idea.  He described the cake he wanted and let Mommy take it from there:

The wonderful Ladies at Sweet Art Bakery made the cake and it was not only adorable, but delicious too!! Chocloate on top and Vanilla on the bottom tier.

 In my defense, is sure was hard to get anyone standing still - so the pictures are all a bit blurry.

Our dear friends, Jill and Tom came to participate - they are expecting their first child in October, so we decided to give Mr. Tom a bit of practice with Ryan ( I think they both were a bit uneasy with the arrangement). :)

Fun was had by all!!  We sure missed our friends that were not able to attend, and enjoyed the ones that came.  Thank you!!

Time is Flying By!!

The boys are growing so quickly, I can hardly believe it!! Will is almost 4 years old and Ryan is 4 months! What perfect ages!!

Ryan is interacting, smiling, giggling and rolling! He is such a sweet boy, who is HAPPY almost every moment of every day!! Such a joy.

Will is becoming so independent yet remaining a total sweetheart! It is so much fun to play with both of them and watching them play together warms my heart! We are so BLESSED!

This past weekend, we had a blast at our dear friend Drew’s birthday party. He had an inflatable slide and bunches on mini pools scattered throughout their backyard – what a fun way to beat the heat!! Of course, the batman cake wasn't too bad either. :)

My absolute favorite part of this day was watching Will, and his sweet friend, Sadie, together. He spent AT LEAST 20 minutes helping Sadie build up the nerve to go up the slide. He encouraged by telling her that it wasn’t too big for her and that it was so much fun. He helped her up the steps, and then coached her down the slide. It was abslutely precious!! Once she went down once, she was hooked!! Will was so proud of her (and himself for getting her to go down). I’m so proud of the gentleman and patient boy he was!!

Will is really into singing and performing for anyone interested. Above, he is belting out an original “Will” while rockin’ out for Ryan and me. He was "rockin' so much, I couldn't catch a clear picture with my phone, but the blurriness really captures his enthusiasm.

I haven’t posted anything about our puppies recently, but this about describes their day.

Queen Lizabeth always seems to get the better end of whatever situation she is in.

Poor Milo- not sure how the bigger dog ends up with the raw end of the deal – he squeezes into Lizzy’s bed, while she sprawls out in his big bed!

Will is swimming up a storm! We are so proud of the swimmer he has become!! His confidence in the water has grown so much this summer - it is so much fun to watch!

10 Years

 

May 15, 1995 – our first date: Our dear friends said I couldn’t stop talking about this guy after we met at a mutual friend’s house a few weeks before, so they set me up with him (a surprise to me until he showed up at the door). We saw Deep Blue Something at Trees in Downtown Dallas and the best journey of my life begun. 

March 15, 2001 – He shows up at my door down on one knee, asking me to spend the rest of our lives together. PERFECT

June 23, 2001 – I marry my best friend, soul mate and the man of my dreams at my family church, Highland Park United Methodist. A Miracle!!

We have 2 amazing boys, 2 sweet dogs, a successful business and every day is better than the last.  I wouldn’t ever want to take this journey with anyone else. 

June 23, 2011 – 10 years I wouldn’t trade for ANYTHING. 

  

We spent our 10 year anniversary at home, relaxing, soaking up the summer and reminiscing the past 10 years, which have seemed to have flown by.  We had a fabulous dinner at Gregory’s Bistro and savored our time together.   The boys had their own individual adventures, Ryan at Granny Annie & Grandpa’s while Will spent the weekend with Nini.  It was perfect!!

Ready for the next 10 years!! I know they will fly by as well and be even better than the first!
