The Amazing Race

So, the 2nd week in January, my sister calls and tells me that she heard on the radio that there was an open casting call for the Amazing Race.  We have been talking about doing the Amazing Race for YEARS.  Our mom was one of our biggest cheerleaders for doing this together, so we decided WHY NOT.  I found great tickets to fly to Denver, Jeannie made fun T-Shirts, using a logo I had on hand, and a picture of our mom on the back.  We put together a fun little rhyme and waited in line for over 6 hours, for a 1 minute shot in front of the cameras!
It was the BEST expereince.....now if only we could get the shot to try our hand at the actual AMAZING RACE! Seriously, what would be better than two sisters, 11 years apart, one well traveled and one pampered yet tough, yet both unbelievly competitive and wanting precious time together crossing off an amazing accomplishment on our Bucket List!!
NOTHING.
Waiting in line

About to go in

showing off our mom's picture

About to take the walk!
Life is about EXPERIENCE.....Don't chase your dreams.....CATCH them!

Grapevine Aqurium

January we did the Grapevine Aquarium with the fam and Nini! Fun was had by all.  Our two animals lovers had the time of their lives! Too bad, we didn't more pictures, but it was pretty dark in there and Mom and Dad were having a good time too!

Christmas Day

Christmas was super special this year! The boys are both at such wonderful ages and they are fully into the Wonders of Christmas Magic! We had Pretzel, our elf on the shelf, from the North Pole, join our family this year and he was so much fun!!
He left us Christmas eve, but not without the most precious note and Santa even lifted his Christmas magic so the boys could touch and hold Pretzel to say their goodbyes.
Christmas morning was PERFECT!! The boys came RUNNING down stairs, well I should say, Will came running and Ryan, we had to wake up and bring down stairs.
Here is the quite before the storm:
Ryan was so adorable.  He really was only interested in one toy at a time.  He wouldn't open a gift until he had sufficiently played with the one he had just opened.  Will just couldn't understand why Ryan wasn't just ripping open all of the presents!
Too precious!

Will's absolute FAVORITE gift this year was his new FURBY, which he named KIRBY, after his new and favorite video game from Santa.

To top off the amazing morning, we had a white Christmas!! Such a treat!

Family Photo Shoot

I just look at these pictures and thank God for my MANY, MANY Blessings!  They are growing up so fast and I am so proud of the boys they are.

I couldn't begin to imagine spending my life with any other man, my best friend, love of my life and the best father I could ever possibly want for our children.

Chi Omega Christmas

Will and I had a tradition with my Mom that we went to the Chi Omega Chistmas market every year.  Well, since the passing of Grannie Annie, we had to begin a new tradition. Will was in school, so Ryan and I went with my dear friend, Helen this year.  Could it be the beginnig of a new tradition?? Maybe so. Of course, going to the Market, you HAVE to have your picture with Santa, so this year was Ryan's first time. He did pretty well, as long as I didn't make him sit alone with Santa! :)

December

We started out our December the way we have each year that we have been married, with the Dallas Children's Christmas Parade.  This year, we had the best seasts ever! We were right at the starting line...PEFECT.  We are now spoiled and will be disappointed with any others, I fear.

The following weekend we spent in Duncan for the Nutt Family Christmas.
We always have such a wonderful time!
Ella and Will playing with their new cameras from Aunt Jerri and Uncle Don!

Oliver showing off his new toy to Don.

Santa came to visit Will's school this year and told the REAL Christmas story! Will had such a wonderful time!!
I LOVE that Santa reminded them that CHRIST is the reason for Christmas!!

Will's Christmas party at school was adorable!!

Our sweet neighbors acorss the street bough the boys matching PJs. Too cute! They loved them.

Even our puppies were in the Christmas spirit!
