A Precious BOY!!

We are overjoyed to announce we will be blessed with another baby boy!  We could not be more excited for Will to have a brother! Even though I, as Mom, will be completely out numbered, I am delighted to have another sweet precious boy!

Our family was able to join us for dinner Tuesday night for the big reveal!  Nini, Grannie Annie, Grandpa, Uncle Ray and Aunt Audrey (from Colorado) came to find out the big news, in person! It was so much fun.

Ambulance

Ambulance! No emergency here, just plain fun!! It sure is cool to have an uncle who is cheif of emergency services....he always has the coolest toys!!!

This weekend - the good, the very ugly and much more GOOD

GOOD: We started this weekend with a fun Veggie Tales Show at our church!  It was a blast.  Will had so much fun dancing in the isles and singing to his favorite songs.  Bob and Larry are by far his favorite characters and everytime they left the stage he leaned over and asked, very concerned, "Mommy, where are Bob and Larry?".  When they returned, he would cheer wildly!! So precious.  It is a delight to watch him watch, learn and discuss all the many bible stories he learns through Veggie Tales.

After Veggie Tales, Will went over to Grannie Annies and Grandpa's for the night! He had a delightful time playing, watching movies and enjoying his grandparents.  It was a blessing for him to spend this time, while Don and I were able to go out to dinner and spend a whole evening together!

BAD: Saturday afternoon, we picked him up and headed to Octoberfest in downtown McKinney.  We should have taken it as a sign, when I dropped my phone and it shattered, that this was not going to be an ideal evening.
We didn't find many kid-friendly activities to do; however, Will did enjoy the petting zoo.

BAD:  Unfortunately, we were all worn out by the events that evening, and poor Will was exhausted, hungry and let us know the majority of the walk back to the car! Through the crying and complaining, Don realized that somehow the key to our car had fallen off our keychain somewhere trampsing around the event and we had no way of getting into or driving our car home.  After a LONG wait for a taxi, we were delighted to have a very nice driver, who drove us all home to pick up our extra key, drive Don back to the car and finally end our evening with a LATE dinner at home.  Needless to say, it was a LONG evening.
MUCH MORE GOOD: Sunday was much better!  I was fortunate to be able to spend time with some good friends while sprinkling our sweet friend with gifts for her precious baby boy due in a few short weeks.  While I was with the girls, Don took Will over to Nini's home to spend a fun filled afternoon with her and Will's uncles, Aunt and cousin.  During this time, Will had a ball riding around in Uncle Ray's newest  ambulance and a WWII jeep.  Pictures are coming soon of this adventure!
Overall, a good weekend....we will just write off Saturday evening and focus on the fun and family we had the rest of the weekend!
We are blessed with a great family and wonderful friends!

Dinner on the Grounds

Once a year, our church celebrates together as a family with bounce houses, games, homecooked food, baptism and fabulous times of worship.  We were delighted to attend again this year and celebrate our church's 4th year in Prosper and 2nd year in its building!
Will had too much fun on the bounce houses! He played and played until he was red in the face and completely exhausted! Such a way to end a Sunday!!!
The Prosper Fire Department and EMS came out and were wonderful with the kids!  They gave them each a tour of each engine and ambulance and were fantastic with them!! It was so much fun to watch them interact!!

Here is a short clip of Will enjoying one of the many slides and inflatables!

Rock 'n Bowl

This weekend we took Will for his first ever Bowling experience! We all had such a blast!  One of his friends had a birthday party and it was the cutest thing watching 3 and 4 year-olds bowl!! I think the adults had as much fun as the kids!!
Of course, birthdays are not complete without cupcakes and pizza!! They then headed off to play games in the arcade...again the Moms and Dads (mostly the Dads) had as much or more fun than the boys!
This video clip is Will bowling...all by himself! Please excuse the videographers - we switched in the middle and were filming on the fly. :)

Mother and Son's Night on the Town

So Daddy had to work late and so Will and I decided to go on an adventure of our own - Chuck E Cheese - you'll never guess who had the idea (it sure wasn't MOM).  Daddy had taken him there before, but I hadn't been there since I was his age....so OFF WE WENT! It was fun for all!
A trip wouldn't be complete without a picture with the Big Cheese himself!
Of course, Will loved every game that involved cars...who would have known?
This is just a short clip, but the whole ride was halarious!! This is a virtual roller coaster where the seat moves and rattles with the ride....Will absolutely LOVED this game and it enthralled him every second it was on.  Too cute!!

MDO at McFBC

Tuesday was Will’s first day at his new school! He had such a wonderful time. He was so excited, ran right into the classroom and sat down to get started. We have been praying for his teachers, his classmates and of course, for Him during this transition to a new school! (Our next challenge - getting him to look at the camera and stay still)

They began their day making play dough-like cupcakes, and singing “Happy First Day of School”.

Here he is working away making his cupcake!!

Fortunately, our prayers were answered! Will couldn’t stop talking about how he is ready to go back and how much fun he had! We are delighted and oh, so, proud!!
