Roots are the Reason the Branches Stay So Strong

Our Annual Messersmith Family reunion took its newest adventure, relocating to a new place for the first time in 47 years! What a beautiful place!! What took us so long to have our own bathrooms, personal chef and running water, you ask?? TRADITION...........

Our home for the week
Will's favorite experience from the whole trip, so he says, was riding "JAZZY" the horse!! He hollared YEHAW and GIDDIE UP, the whole time he was on that horse!! A true cowboy!!
Here are a few of his cousins that are his age.  There was small goup this year, only about 45 people in all - one of our smallest turnouts in years!
Thursday night, each year is "theme night" Where the entire family dresses up.  In honor of a new location, the theme for this year was, THE WAY WE WERE.  Will was an INDIAN (the costume was cute...no other real reason for the selelction).  We thought it was fitting that his Oklahoma cousin, Sam, came dressed as a cowboy.  They chased each other around all evening!!
I hope to get more pictures....my camera is still out of commission, so these pictures are from my phone.  My parents took some while we were there as well...just need to get them.
